Well, last week really sucked a big one. It was topped off with a trip Friday evening to Super Wal-Mart. We hadn't been in quite some time and needed lots of food, etc. Needless to say, we had two shopping carts full of "stuff". We check out, which took forever, then I swipe my credit card and it's denied. WHAT???!!! I swipe again, sorry declined. WHAT THE???!!! So there we stand, two buggies full of "stuff" and food and .... Dear God, will we have to put everything back? OMG. So, I say, "hold on". I call the credit card company, "Hi Mrs. Heath, you tried to use your card and got denied, right?" "Uh, yeah, that's right." "I'm standing here with two carts full of food and sundry other items we need and people are backing up behind us waiting." "Well, you hadn't used that card in a very long time and we need to make sure it's not stolen."
Oh my God. Well, I'm actually glad they were concerned. That made me feel good that they are watching out for me. But, I'm in line, food is defrosting, I'm turning purple from embarrassment. Finally, we get it straightened out and all is well.
Had a GREAT time last night. Started a "GNO" with some girlfriends of mine. We had our first outing to dinner, then to play pool. We had a blast! We've decided to make it a regular event. Can't wait.
As for today....I've been studying off and on during the day. I've had a "runny" eye. You know, tearing at the side, all day long. Now I have another eye infection. Please tell me this is NOT a sign of how this week's gonna go. Good golly.
Well, here's hoping for the best. My eye is driving me crazy, so I am off to put antibiotic drops in and settle in bed. I may try to read something fun for a bit. We'll see. I'm having a little trouble seeing clearly.
Here's hoping the drops work quickly and I will be able to wear makeup before the week is over. (No, I'm not vain.......just don't want to scare the kiddies!)

Some Days Are Better Than Others
Well, I've endured some pretty rough days lately. Work pretty much sucks. I won't go into detail, let's just say I hope things change soon.
My father-in-law passed away on the 22nd of Feb. We had his funeral last week. I've had to fight a cold and have had a sick child. Now I get news that my dearest friend has suffered some brain damage from a stroke at the age of 39.
My college classes are keeping me so busy I don't have time to blog (this week is Spring break, so I hope to get ahead in my studies).
I finally made time to do our taxes this past weekend. I submitted them on line THEN realized I forgot to include our mortgage interest! Jeez.
The wind is blowing so hard where I live right now that the windows are rattling and the roof makes buzzing sounds. It's quite eery.
Well, now that I've dumped my burden, I'm off to bed. Early to bed tonight as I am really tired. Been really, really tired (more than usual) here lately.
